VAIL VISTA

Welcome to this ski-in, ski-out tower in the heart of Vail Village, a cherished family retreat since the early 1980s. Our team was enlisted to transform the space, making it more functional and practical for the expanding family and future generations. Inspired by the essence of a ski chalet, we aimed to create a space that embraces the natural tones of the area while offering a relaxed and soothing environment to unwind after a day of hiking and skiing. The primary objectives were to enlarge the kitchen, create a more accommodating living area, expand all bathrooms, and add a mudroom and powder bath. By reconfiguring the main living area, we recessed a curved banquette to open up the space, and the kitchen was expanded with a new island and separate bar area. Various seating options provide flexibility and mobility, accommodating different numbers of occupants, while a custom dining table with extensions allows for growth. The result is a layered, soothing, and elevated retreat designed to remain timeless and functional.
